Your cameras, watched and answered

PyNetra brings in your recorders and cameras, runs Workflows on what they see, and turns it into Alerts and incidents your team can act on, on the web and on the phone. Ask the Assistant what happened; plan every floor; keep every Organisation's data apart.

What PyNetra does

One product for the whole path: from the recorder on the wall to the person who answers the Alert.

  • Recorders and cameras

    • Onboard a whole NVR or DVR at once: PyNetra discovers its channels, imports them in bulk and plays each one to validate it, without typing a stream address.
    • A compatibility catalogue of 22 vendors, from Hikvision, Dahua and CP Plus to Axis, Bosch and Hanwha Vision, with drivers for ONVIF, RTSP and the major makers' own interfaces.
    • A camera that cannot connect yet is added anyway and connects later, and every connection attempt keeps a step-by-step log.
  • Workflows and industry templates

    • Build Workflows on a visual canvas: from a template, from a guided where, what and when form, or from a blank page. Draft, test, publish and compare versions.
    • Run them by hand, on a schedule, from an HTTP call or from an event; call sub-workflows and sandboxed Python and TypeScript functions.
    • Attach a workflow to a camera, a camera set or a whole workspace. Templates for factories, offices, retail, jewellery stores, supermarkets and airports apply to many cameras at once, each with its own Zones.
  • Incidents, Alerts and escalation

    • An Alert can open an incident with an owner, an SLA timer, an escalation policy and on-call rotations.
    • Alerts reach people in the app and as desktop alerts, by e-mail with an Acknowledge button, by signed webhook, and as mobile push in the PyNetra app.
    • Quiet hours that critical Alerts bypass, rate limits, digests and a delivery log. Evidence packages are signed, so anyone can check offline that nothing was changed.
  • The Assistant and search

    • Ask the Assistant about what your cameras saw, in plain language: type or speak, add a file to your question, and take the answer away as an Evidence package.
    • Describe a workflow and the Assistant drafts it for you to review.
    • Picture search finds people, vehicles and objects that look like a picture you upload. Every AI call goes through PyNetra's AI gateway, with budgets that stop spending at their limit.
  • Floor plans and digital twins

    • Upload a floor plan, PDF included: PyNetra recognises its rooms and suggests their names for your review.
    • Place cameras and other Devices on each floor, plan coverage room by room, and get the cabling and a bill of materials.
    • Every device and node keeps a digital twin of its desired and reported settings, in one registry you can query.
  • The mobile app, with no inbound ports

    • The PyNetra app for Android signs in with your site password, checked by your own installation, or with your organisation's single sign-on.
    • Acknowledge an incident from a push and watch live video on the phone.
    • Phones reach the installation over an OpenZiti overlay through Cloud Connect, so the installation opens no inbound ports. A ban locks a person out of the app within a minute.

Security and privacy, built in

Isolation is enforced by the database itself, not only by the application on top of it.

  • Isolation by row-level security

Every Organisation and workspace is kept apart by row-level security in the database.

  • Audit

An audit log of who did what, and when, kept for at least 400 days.

  • Retention and data-subject requests

Retention per kind of data, and export and erasure for data-subject access requests, with consent for face recognition.

  • Single sign-on and MFA

SAML 2.0 and OpenID Connect sign-in, SCIM provisioning, and multi-factor authentication with an authenticator app.

  • Least privilege

Roles and permissions per workspace, temporary users whose access ends on time, and API keys that belong to service accounts.

Built to integrate

A versioned REST API with an OpenAPI reference, for your own systems and scripts.

Ask for the API reference
  • One base address

Every call under one versioned base address, described by an OpenAPI document.

  • API keys

Issued to a service account, limited to the permissions it needs, rate-limited and audited.

  • Safe retries and webhooks

Idempotency keys make a retried write safe, and webhooks are signed with HMAC-SHA256.
